Genesis Transport Service Now Offering Point To Point Transportation Services
Ten brand-new Genesis Transport Service, Inc. units started ferrying passengers from Clark International Airport to different destinations in Metro Manila beginning Friday, September 15th, 2017.
Manila – Point to point buses started ferrying commuters between Clark International Airport, Pampanga and Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Pasay City as of Friday, September 15th, 2017.
Each Genesis Transport Service bus carries 50 passengers and comes equipped with Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, CCTV, and charging docks for smartphones and laptops.
From Clark, commuters can alight at either the NAIA Terminal 3 or at Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
A one-way trip from Clark International Airport to Ninoy Aquino International Airport costs P350, while from Clark to Ortigas in Pasig City costs P300, and from Clark Airport to North Edsa, Quezon City costs P250.
According to the Department of Transportation, an additional point to point routes from Clark International Airport to other termini in central and northern Luzon will soon be made available.
Dubbed P2P (point-to-point) bus service, a first in Clark, the solution will, at first, cover Clark to NAIA Terminal 3 through Clark-Trinoma, North EDSA, and Robinsons Galleria and Resorts in Pasay City (vice versa) to ease the commute for Clark passengers.
According to a statement made by Arthur Tugade, The Philippines’ Transportation Secretary, during the launching of Genesis’ point to point bus service, where he was the speaker and guest of honor, the project is intended to improve mobility and connectivity while easing traffic in Manila.
During the launch, Tugade also affirmed that the Department of Transportation intends to open a minimum of 12 point to point bus service destinations in Clark by the end of 2017 stating that Clark would soon be Luzon’s transport service hub.
Clark-NAIA Terminal; Yung Ruta Ngayon ay Clark to North EDSA. Other routes to open soon include Clark to Lubao in Pampanga; Clark to Subic in Zambales, Clark to Dagupan City in Pangasinan; Clark to Tarlac City; Clark to San Jose City in Nueva Ecija; and Clark to Malolos City, Bulacan.
Genesis Transport Service Inc. became the first bus transport company to be granted a permit by the Department of Transport in this Freeport and is the first franchise and P2P Bus Service to connect two airports – NAIA and CRK. A first for Central Luzon.
A proud Genesis’ Operations Manager Rely Jalbuna stated that the company’s launch of its point to point transportation service is a historical feat when it comes to land transportation services in the Philippines.
It was also revealed that Genesis is also a franchise holder of 48 different routes under the Department of Transportation point to point program.
According to Tugade, the adoption of the point to point concept to provinces is intended to help solve the gridlocks experienced in Metro Manila. For over 20 years, the Department of Transportation had put a moratorium on grants for provincial bus franchises.
The Genesis point to point bus service is anticipated to service Clark commuters who frequently travel between Freeport and Metro Manila.
